Singapore PR finally APPROVED !

My application to be a Permanent Residence was rejected twice but that did not stop me from re-applying again. My 3rd application took me another 9 months of waiting and I thought it will be rejected again since it was pending way longer compared to the rest of the previous application.

30 September 2014, I went online to check the status of my PR application and was shocked to finally see that it has been APPROVED. As soon as I got home, I went to my letter box and was pleased to received the approval letter.

In that letter, I was told to complete the PR formalities which is strictly by appointment.

10 October 2014, I went to Raffles Hospital to get my X-ray & HIV test done. The procedure was fast as it took me almost an hour and I was told that the result will be ready in less than a week. I paid S$58.85 for the medical check-up.

16 October 2014,  was at ICA building near Lavender at 9.30am since my appointment is at 10am. Its better to be early than late. As soon as I arrive, I head straight to Level 5 where the Permanent Residence processing area is, collected my queue number at the self service kiosk and than waited for my number to be called.

As soon as my number was called out, I handover all the neccessary, my PR in-principle approval letter, 2 recent pasport size photo, medical report, valid passport and Immigration Pass, Re-Entry form. I also had to pay S$200 for the processing of my PR. Breakdown of S$100 for the application + S$50 for the re-entry permit + S$50 for the IC card.

Overall, after the whole procedure, I was given an IC collection slip to be produce when I collect it.
