Randy wanted to go to Bali to distress with his girlfriend. Leave applied, accommodation and flight tickets are booked and all the necessary arrangement have been made. A few days later, girlfriend called up that she couldn't make it for their trip as she just started a new job at Dubai. To bad that all of this can't be cancelled in a very last minute. So, guess who is his next option to accompany him to that trip ? Hehehehe, me of course, who else will it be right ?? I was feeling so crazy and touched with the idea of having an all paid trip from your own brother.
Both of us at Changi Airport to catch our early flight.
Loving the blue colour of the ocean.
I told Randy, since this is my third time to Bali, I will be his free personal guide. In God's grace, we arrived Bali with good weather. Sun, sand and beach awaits us.
Well I would say Bali has changed tremendously since the past few years that I've been there. The airport looks way bigger and security is so much more tighter ever since the Bali bombings.
As soon as we arrived, I brought Randy to Kuta first instead of checking in at our hotel which is located at Ubud. There, we had an amazing massage for only Rp 85,000.00. Later, we went to grab a late lunch and did some light shopping at Kuta Mall.

After feeling slightly exhausted, we hopped in to the Blue Bird Taxi to Alila Villa Soori, Ubud. It took us 1.5 hours to reach to the resort and the fare cost us Rp450,000. The resort is certainly in a remote location. Even the taxi driver find it difficult to bring us to our destination. Upon arrival, I was amazed at how beautiful the landscape and architecture surrounding the resort. We were greated by friendly and personal Soori staff.
The view of padi fields from our villa.
Comfy bed with a Nespresso coffee machine & capsules provided in the villa.
An outdoor couch with a dining area just next to the private pool.
Spacious bathroom with our own personal shower kit.
This is the villa we stayed. Beautiful modern deco that features a private pool, outdoor lounge, bathtub, and an outdoor rain shower. I'm sure this must have cost Randy a lot and looking at the ambience that really suits for honeymooners, this place definitely doesn't come cheap.
As the resort is secluded and far away from main tourist areas plus transport options are limited, both of us decided to spend a total of 2 days relaxing and enjoying the beauty surrounding us in our villa, soaking in the private pool, strolling around the black sandy beach plus enjoying a romantic dinner that has been booked by dearest brother back than for his girlfriend.

Dinner at Ombak Restaurant, Alila Villa Soori
Amuse Bouche - tomato gazpacho with smoked salmon & bread stick.
We had pan seared foie gra for starter.
Excellent veal for main course.
Third day after breakfast, we hired a private driver to bring us around Bali as it is way easier and cheaper than using a taxi. I brought my brother to a few tourist attraction like the Tanah Lot Temple, Uluwatu, Ubud Monkey Forest, and the Bali Museum. Then, before the evening comes, I plan to bring him to Kudeta to catch the sunset.
Chilling out at Kudeta, Bali after a long day.
An amazing sight to catch the sunset here.
After spending a wonderful time at Kudeta, we headed back to our villa to catch a good night rest before flying back to Singapore the very next day.
